I have sick street cat under 1 year old and no vet in our little town in turkey. He has labored breathing/cool to touch/eye and nose discharge/ lethargic and occasional coughing. I have brought cat into house to keep warm and cleaned dicharges from eyes and nose. Can I give him some of my antiboitics? He did eat this morning.

Human antibiotics can harm a cat. I once gave my cat a liquid human antibiotic. At the time I couldn't go to a vet. The cat got better. If you have no other choice, do it. The cat may die anyway. When cats get a "cold" they get much sicker than humans.

Just for others info, I telephoned a vet on american airbase and he told me to give cat 62mg clavamox twice a day for two weeks... if not available at pharmacy in turkey give cat 50mg amoxıcıllıan twice a day for two weeks... both should be in liquid form... hope that helps others in my situation... by the way both meds are available here and started cat on clavamox.

Neilreed lucky for you.. In America we can not get that otc. Make sure even if he starts to look better you make him finish it. For the record my vet gives my cat pills and I crush them up in his food.
