My washer will not drain and it has an FL error on the screen. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. The book says to press stop/cancel button but it the washer is still doing th same thing. Can anyone help me:confused:

I had a problem with my GE Nautilus dishwasher also that sounded like this. I used a small 6" plunger with a very short handle (that I cut off to fit) over the hole in the extreme back. I took off the screen over this hole and left whatever water in the bottom to be plunged around. Lo and behold I had a bunch of food and plastic in this hole. The water goes up through the middle to be recirculated and with it the water takes the food and plastic with it. I had to do this a few times and take out the gook with a strainer. The water will go up through the middle tower when you plunge so don't be alarmed. Don't be discouraged if you have to do this about 6 times to fully get out the teeny tiny particles that are clogging the actual drain. I don't have a built in disposal in this model but did in my Maytag dishwasher and sometimes I forget to clean the food off the plates. My dishwasher works just fine now.

No this is a washer machine not a dishwasher.

Sorry! Thought it was a dishwasher LOL! Sounds like something caught up in the drain. Suggest you look online for the schematic for this machine and look where the drain line comes out and disconnect that line and see what is clogged in the line before it leaves the machine. If it is not clogged then you have some kind of switch problem.
My washer did the same thing. It was the switch on the lid that activiates the spin/drain cycle. The little hole where you can put your finger into that will make the washer keep spinning when you open the lid. This was a $25 switch part and the guy took 10 minutes to install. The hardest part was ordering the switch and having it sent overnight. I could have done it myself had I known it was just the switch that went - and the machine was only a year old when it gave out. Those fancy "screen" error codes are great if you are a tech - Try looking online for your model and the screen code. Betcha it's the lid switchy deal thingy.
