Hi, I had an abortion at 15years old, I am now 23 years old and I can't seem to get Pregnant. I know there's isn't anything wrong with my partner because he was the same person who got me pregnant 8 years ago. What is wrong with me? Did something go wrong with my abortion? Is it something that can be fixed? Will I be able to get pregnant again? Which Physician can I see, to help me with this particular situation

First lets start with some questions and answers okay? Then we can go from there...

1) How long have you currently been trying?
2) Have you ever been on any form of birth control?
3) If so, what kind and for how long?
4) When was your last gynecological exam?

Once I get the answers to these questions, we can move forward to try and help you.

I have been trying for 7 years now.
No I have never been on any kind of birth control.
I never really been to a Gynecologist, only a regular Doctor, for full check ups. But never for this particular situation

Then you should make an appointment with a gynecologist to discuss your situation, get a PAP smear (have you ever had one?), and a full complete physical.

Abortions typically do not cause infertility, but rather tend to cause miscarriages.

Thanks so much for answering my question Yeah I had a PAP Smear before, It was normal. But I have heard that Abortions do tend to cause complications Or even prevented other womab from getting preganant in other ways. What do you think is my problem? Why is it that after I got the abortion though I can't seem to get pregnant after that?

It is very hard to say in all honesty. Since we do not know your complete medical history and background, all we can do is guess based on a little education and a lot of experience.

A good gynecologist can help you. Please make an appointment.

Thanks so much for your answers... I recently went to a Doctor, N told him my situation, he also recommended that I do testes to check my hormones as well as a ultrasound... after these results he will refer me to a OBGYN. Thanks again
