I live in Utah.My wife and I have been married for almost 9 yrs.when we first got married we did it with a justice of the peace, then a year later we did it in the LDS temple.
My question is "Will a civil court divorce/Lawyer be the way to go or do we have to go through the church"?
Right now I am more concerned about doing the divorce and then take care of the church matter after.
I would appreciate all help in this matter.

Well.. the civil court laywers will take the matter and divorce you with no problem.. But you would have to go to the temple you married at for the precher there to sign a weiver for your marriage to be anolled... I went threw the same thing.. I was married for 11 yrs.. Got married at the jp office but never married in the church.. and some friends of mine went threw it too.. Anolled only if your catholic.. Other wise.. Any laywer you pay will divorce you... ;Dthought I might be of help.. thanks for posting and letting me read your question?
