Me personally I think popularity is too overrated and that well just because people are different from others that they shoulden't be picked on and they should get recognition for what they can do and who they are. I know people have their place but who says that they should be organized by quo? I think people should be allowed to choose who they want to be friends with no matter what group they are in and they shoulden't be made fun of for how they look... What do you think..

Yeah I think popularity is too over rated as well. There's nothing anyone can do, I, myself try involve everyone I can in things and if I see someone being picked on I'll go help them.

I think it's worshiped as the way to be! It doesn't improve the human condition. It isn't good for the environment. It promotes dishonesty and back stabbing. It does very little good except for those who are in on it. It's not really overrated, it's worshiped.

If you want to change things, make a decision to do so. You must become closer to those you disagree with. It sounds horrible, I know, but it eliminates "us and them", or at least reduces its power. Respect them, trust them and ask for their help. It works. Be kind and fair to everyone including yourself and a dent had been made.

I actually think it is over rated too, even though I want to be more popular. Recently 5 friends and I got away from the rest of the guys that hung out with us with the purpose of being more popular... popularity does bad bad things =(

It's similar to asking "is abercrombie overpriced?"

... of course it is. But it doesn't stop kids from wanting clothes from there. When the store first opened, I thought, "no one's gonna buy a shirt for $60..that's ridiculous!"

... I was wrong.

It's mob culture. One kid does something... next kid... next kid... so on and so forth. For instance, since when was it cool to smoke cigarettes?. blame the popular guy.

Remember!

Minorities are sometimes right. The majority is always wrong.

It is sad to say there is a group more liked because parents are richer or they have a sertan figure. And also people judge because of looks and things like that but if u can find people that like u for who u are it's a lot better and that u actually like to talk to or hang out with

Not sure why I got a reddie for moving this 4 year old thread to the proper forum. Care to explain?
