MY son was in car accident, and we are not claiming it on insurance, no one else involved, he is a brand new driver, what will happen to our insurance for him? My son got a ticket failure to control, will my insurance company find out about this? We live in Ohio.

I combined your posts, please don't start different threads for the same question.

If he is convicted of the charge, then it will go on his driving record. The insurance company can then find the info. Whether it will be reported automatically or they will have to search for it, I don't know. Whether it affects his premium is up to the carrier. My daughter was in a few minor accidents when she first started driving and our carrier (Geico) never raised our rates.

Your insurance carrier will find out this information if he is listed on the policy. If you did not tell them about the damage or ask them to fix it, the premium may not go up if he has had a good driving record up to that point. Being young always means you end up paying more for car insurance whether it is on the parent's policy or their own policy.
