My boyfriend was on probation for skipping school. Recently he was caught breaking into someone's house but he was not caught taking anything. He was just seen climbing inside and the cops were around the corner and somebody seen him and called the police. His grandma, who he lives with, don't give a damn about him so I know she won't try to keep custody cause she's been threatening to kick him out. My question is... How long does a minor, that is already on probation, spend in jail for breaking and entering in Ohio? Please help me. I miss him so much and I just want my first love back. Thanks

Hello T:

If it was that easy, we wouldn't need judges. Clerks could just look it up. There's a lot more that goes into sentencing than what you've mentioned.

So, what was he doing in the house if not to steal something?? Was he just checking out the decorating?

As a minor they can do many things, They may want to do a home inspection by children and family services to see if there is some problem in the home that is causing this, if that is the case they may take custody away from his parents and place him in a foster home.

They may hold him in detention till he is 18, if they beleve that is in his best interst. They could put him back on probation. There is no way to tell.
