Ok so I live in Simi Valley, CA, where it is windy frequently. I have to cats both fixed brother and sister. The male, Shadow, is about 9-10 and has never exhibited fear of the wind before. He tends to hide out and about the house but never has he hid out for several days in one place. This is the third day of this phenomenon. On Monday and Tuesday it was extremely windy and we thought that perhaps he was afraid of the wind. Then today, the wind had stopped. I believed that maybe he was fine and when I moved him out from under the bed, I was glad to see him alert and not screeched and yowling like I was trying to drown him! I sat there and brushed him as was his favorite thing in the world. I knew that nothing was wrong with him from something like a cat fight because I checked him over for wounds and broken claws. Then all of the sudden he twisted away and started his bawling yowling and shot back under the bed. I fear that this is something bone or joint related and not a fear issue. What should I do?

I'd take him to the vet... where were you brushing him when he yowled and ran away? The wind could be irrelevant and he's just acting scared cause he's hurt.

Well he came out again last night and seemed a little better and I was brushing him head because he will force you to brush his head and cheecks and meow at you until you do
