Hello,

I have a craftsman snow blower that is only three years old, last year I never tried starting the engine. However, this year I attempted to start the engine according to recommended instructions without success. I changed the gas and installed a new plug yet blower refuse to fire up, but what I did do was remove the plug and sprayed a little stater fluid on the plug and it started for a brief second and cut off. I repeated that several times with the same results. Please help!!

I like to remove spark plug -- spray WD-40 in cylender and start

Not sure how an oil change is going to fix this issue. I would clean the carb, drop the bowl and flush, check the float, clean the needle valve and seat, replace and gap the plug.

And make sure the fuel valve is turned on, otherwise ballenger's advise is good.

Did you store the snowblower with fuel in it and no stabilizer?

Kiss and ballengerb1 are right on the money.
