Do you color on the head top to bottom? To speed up putting in foils, any good short cuts and have a good look to it. For med. Hair color?

I am not a hairdresser. You will probably be hearing from some hairdressers but thought I would just share my experience as a way to let you know, people are looking at questions that are being posted. It sometimes take awhile to get an answer as there are many questions each day.

The answer to the first question: depends on the darks and lights of your hair and what effect you are wanting.

Heat speeds up the process but you cannot allow color to dry or run on the hair and not use high heat.

Be patient and you will get other more professional answers. Good luck to you.

I don't fully understand you question but here goes;
Foils are put in the hair for two reasons. One is to separate hair, such as when you are getting highlights, the hair that is being coloured is put into the foil to separate it from the rest of the hair so it doesn't get coloured.
And two, foil is a good heat conductor, therefore it speeds up the colouring process.

For short cuts I love the classic bob, with some short layers which you then tease to get height at the crown. And a lovely side sweeping fringe.
