We need more details. Is this a carrier mounted blow out toilet,( a wall mounted bowl without a tank)? Would it be possible to reverse the sanitary tee on the stack and extend the drain dowm to the new location? Is the stud wall beefed up to accept the new carrier location? Back to you. Tom

Just my two pence, here, but if it's moved to the "opposite end of the room" then it isn't "on the same wall".

Sure it is growler. Let's say the toilet's on the right side of the wall. The opposite end would mean reversing the san tee in the stack and expending the drain on down the wall to the new location.
To have the toilet mounted on another wall then it would be "across" the room not at the "opposite" side of the same wall. It's not often I can catch you in one growler, even one as small as this one. LOL! I hope you and yours have a happy and prosperous new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Tom

It is a full toilet with bowl and tank, haven't opened the wall yet but the new location is in what is now a closet just outside the existingbathroom. Was going to replace with another wall mount but they are starting at $800 so would like to have the option of converting to a floor mount if possible also.

What am I missing? I thought the idea was to move the same toilet down the wall. Are you wanting to convert a wall mount toilet to one that sets on the floor? Pretty difficult to do that and even if you could you would have the major task of tearing up the wall and the floor to run a drain line over to the new location to pick it up. What are your plans? Tom

We are still in the planning stage of our bath redo and are looking at all options - all walls and floors will be torn out to install new so that would not be an issue - we still have the old (starting to crack) subway tile walls and very poor condition tile floors so it must all go in order to have it look right - no point in putting in new fixtures if you leave poor quality walls and floors. Thanks for your time-like I said just checking all our options.

The most inexpensive would be to simply move the old toilet down the wall. If you wish to install a new toilet I would convert the drainage to accept a floor mount bowl. That's about the only options I see open. Are there others? Tom
