Yup! What's art to you?

This idea was spiked by Deidara and Sasori of Akatsuki, Naruto.

So... this is kind of like a poll.

Is art fleeting or eternal?

Or maybe... it's both!

XD Right now the score is...

Fleeting: 1
Eternal: 2
Both: 0

EDITED! XD

Real art is a feast for hungry eyes.

It is eternal, and also internal.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. :)

Very well said :) and I believe a feast for the ears as well as I consider music to be art too.

I agree. There is an art to many things. Living a good healthy life is an art. Knowing how to enjoy the simple things in life is an art. We can cultivate the art of so many things. And we can, if we want to, see the art in everything.

Id say both. It wouldn't matter how long it lasted. It was just there. If you get what I mean.

Japanese love the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms and fleeting love is a recurring theme in their literature. I like the thought of deep and lasting love, yet both are beautiful.

It's the same with art.

To me, art is expressing yourself in some way that is original and created from yourself, be it by a visual, written or audible medium. So, as such, I don't think that art can be defined as being fleeting or eternal, but being so in either way would be contingent upon the medium by which it is represented and expressed.

That is my opinion, anyway...
