I am tiring to find out more about a movie I saw on PBS (channel 28 in Los Angeles). It would have aired between 1968 and 1980. I think it was a student film. I think it was titled "The Trials of Mosey Wax". It was about a elderly poor couple. The wife is named Mosey Wax. They live in a slum sentiment, in the front apartment. The husband was the one who made the money and handled all the world functions. The wife was a gentile woman, but not worldly wise. One day the wife comes home to find him sitting, dead, in the bay window of their tenement looking out on the sidewalk. Well the wife must now fend for herself. So she sells most of their possessions, including her beloved auto harp, and move into a cheaper room. She has many horrible incidents leaning about the cynical real world. But one day she meets a run away teenage girl. She befriends the girl and provides her food and shelter. She thinks she will now have a friend. But the girl feels smothered by Mosey's need for friendship, and runs away. Mosey runs into the street trying to get her back by offering a can of beans. Seeing that the girl has abandon her, she goes into her cheap room and lays on the bed and seems to give up. As the sun rises, we see Mosey get up and somehow find the inner strength to go on another day.

Can anyone tell me the proper title, writer, director, year of production, or any other information that will help me track down this work? I have looked researched this and can find nothing.

Thanks you,

I don't know if it will help or not, but you might be able to contact the station?

They might have old records?
