I have never had any basement leaks before, but today I went down to do the laundry and noticed water coming in in a couple of areas in the basement. I live in the Rocky Mountains and it is usually cold here in the winter but right now after quite a bit of snow it is getting mild.
What do I do about the water, etc. It is too cold outside to repair anything outside.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your foundation may have a curtain drain leading to a sump pump. Do you know if that is how it was built? Once a leak starts it is usually in the crack between the fllor and the wall or a wall crack near a window. This is difficult to repair until it stops leaking so, for now, use a wet/dry vac to suck up the water or through a stack on newspaper on the floor if the leak is just seeping. Once it is dry you could try something like this product.http://doitbest.com/Concrete+patch+and+repair-G.+E.+Silicone+Prod.-model-GE14225-doitbest-sku-262325.dib I hade a very active leak that neede a permanet repair before finishing the basement. I install something that was called a Beaver Dam at the time, newer owners have changed the name. http://www.bdws.com/
