I'm 18 years old and have always been irregular but very active so I have never really worried about it. Now that I am in college I haven't been involved in any sports, but I still on my own, nothing strenuous. I am exactly the weight that I should be, not over or under and eat properly. I weigh 135 and am 5'7". I've never had sex before, and haven't had my period for 6 months straight now. I have never went this long before and was getting worried. I don't really stress out that much, either.. so I know that it can't be that. Should I wait any longer to go to the doctor. What would they do besides putting me on pills? Is it really bad if I don't go to the doctor? Just wondering if you could answer some of my questions. Thanks.

I would advise going to the doctor. There could be issues going on that the doctor can run tests and explain the missed periods. It isn't normal.

Yeah, I agree with Denise1128... the doctors the best thing.

Aside from stress (which will do this by the way), there could be underlying health issues that are causing this, such as thyroid disorder. I would suggest a visit with your doctor to get a proper diagnosis.
