Please help!!

My laptop was running good (get on internet without problem ) till I update IE 7.0 recently.
Ver. IE 7.0 updated uncussessfully when I tried. I tried to restored and used last known good configuration. But It didn't help. Now I can't get on internet anymore. Every time I tried to open Internet Explore only the rectangle box come up : send to Microsoft or Don't send. That's all I got.

I still got the original WINXP /sp2 cd come with the Laptop when I bought it but I lost the OEM Product key. I can't reinstall WINXP/ sp2 . What I have to do now ? Can I extract IE from the WINXP CD??

Thanks

I think you need to go to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in the Control Panel

Try to remove IE7 see if you can get on the internet - There are some

Things that could have interfered with installing IE7 -- having anti virus

Running when installing it --Spy Bot may have ask for permission and

Was denied -- IE firewall may have been enabled and you could have 2

Firewalls running... I think you need to go to START -----> RUN ------>

Type msconfig -----> OK System Configuration Utility tab STARTUP

Click DISABLE ALL -----> OK Most of the programs in startup do not

Need to run -- After this test you need to enable your fire wall and

Anti-virus programs -- you go into startup tab and check items

To start at startup *** Very Important To Reboot and Get Them Running***

Let me know how you did -- more info -- more help

RE boot your computer and try to get online... Also go to the TASK BAR by

The clock and right click on any and exit them -- try to get on internet

What you are try to do is stop the program that is keeping you off the internet
