My sister, my nieces and I have inherited from my mother's trust and my sister is the executor.
It has been a year and a half and she will not distribute the trust. The parts of the trust that I am to receive are all liquidated and sitting in an account.
What are my rights to speed this up?
Thank you.

What reason did she give?

I can think of 3 possible reasons... waiting for all funds to be liquidated to distribute all at same time, bargaining pressure to have you settle for less, or not wanting to let go of mom and that is her tangible link? Sorry I don't know of any laws to speed things up... but I want to keep watching thread to see what others say.

What are my rights to speed this up?Hello L:
I don't know if you have a RIGHT to speed things up. However, you can certainly apply pressure, and I would. You do that by hiring a mean lawyer.

Was the will probated? If so,you can check with probate court as to distribution.
