So I FINALLY decided what I want to be. After a lot of debate I decided to take a course in Parmacy Technician, and then if I really like it I will go to university to become a Pharmasist.

The only thing is I don't have a clue about university. No one in my family had ever went to university because most of my family went into the military. Can someone please tell me what these mean:
Bachelors
Major
Minor
Undergraduate degree
Graduate Degree

I know its pretty bad that I don't know exactly what these mean, but it would be a ton of help if someone could tell me what they mean.

Bachelors - a degree given after four years of college. It might be a B.S. Bachelor of Science, or a B.A. Bachelor of Arts. The B.S. would include more research and statistics, for instance.

Major - By the time a student is at the end of the 2nd or sophomore year, a major course of study, such as psychology or English or math, can be chosen. The college or university will vary in its requirements as to when a major must be declared and how many courses will be taken in that major.

Minor - Like a major, it's a choice to concentrate in a certain area. Minor means there will be fewer courses needed than in a major. Again, the college or university will set out requirements.

Undergraduate degree - Same as a bachelor's degree.

Graduate Degree - Study beyond a bachelor's degree. It might be a master's degree or a PhD or a PsyD--usually one to ten years of study and internships beyond a bachelor's degree.

A Bachelor's Degree is the traditional undergraduate degree awarded by a college or university. It requires 4 years of study, consisting of around 120 credits, give or take. Major is your specialized subject of study ; about 25-30% of your coursework consists of courses from your major. Some programs also require you to complete a minor in a second subject area ; this takes about 15-18 credits of study in a particular subject area. A graduate degree is earned after 2-4 years of additional study beyond the bachelor's level. It can be a general academic degree such as a master's or a specialized professional degree such as law or medicine. Generally, a pharmacy program requires 5-6 years of study at the combined undergraduate and graduate levels. Usually a pharmacuetical degree is earned which is essentially a professional degree, similar to a law or medical degree. The best source of first-hand information concerning degree programs and their requirements is the catalog from your college(s)/university(ies) of interest.
