We hired a contractor to pour concrete in our basement to level the floor this week, he finished the job okay (charged us a fortune!) However we found out the next morning the bathtub in the basement is blocked. The contractor said they used the bathtub to get water but he claims no concrete should have fallen into the drain.

My husband and I tried some drainopener material, but doesn't work... The bathroom floor and bathtub was all very dirty, so I'm sure some of the concrete material have blocked the pipes... What do I do? Is there anything I can buy to desolve it and open it up?

Please help me... thanks a million...

When that happened to me some years ago I had to rip out the job and replace the pipes that were filled with cement. However, since then a company out of Euless, TX called RoMix has an acid alternative product call "BACK-SET Molecular Cement Dissolve" that will remove the concrete without damage to your pipes. I saw the product at Concrete Monthly (http://www.concretemonthly.com)
Good luck, Tom
