I am still looking for my two boys that I gave up for adoption years ago. There is Christopher Mayberry and all I know is his first name maybe middle. I named him Nickolas ryan Farnham, But now don't know. All I have heard is that he is living in Biddeford/Saco Maine area. Can anyone helpme find these two boys? I am on SSI and can not afford topay an investigator to help. I really would like them to know their biological mother before it is to late. That is all I wanted for christmas, but does not look like that is going to happen. PLEASE help. Thank you.

Hi Lynn,

Iīm sorry about your struggle. I can relate to it.

I donīt know how it works in the States, but my cousin gave her daughter for adoption in Europe and regretted it all her life. She got in touch with the adoption agency, wrote a letter to her daughter and the agency got in touch with her daughter to tell her she had a letter from the birthmother.

The daughter received the letter but never wrote back. She told Social services she didnīt want to hurt the adoptive mother, who is sick and dying, but that she would get in touch later.

This is all I can think of. I hope you find a way to communicate with your sons or at least send them letters, knowing they can have access to it.

Best of luck,

Lily

I don't know anything but couldn't you contact the adoption agency and could they not tell you where they are?

Your first step is to contact the adoption agency. While most adoption records are sealed, the rules have loosened considerably. While I doubt if the agency will give you the adoption info, they may be willing to forward a letter to them from you. A lot depends on the age of the children.

If the adoption agency won't help, there are some WEB sites that act as go betweens for parents and children. Essentially they list their details in a searchable database. If a match is found, then contact can be arranged.

But you NEED to understand that while you feel a need to connect with your offspring, they may not feel the same need. They might not be at all interested. So you really need to make any arrangements through a third party.
