I have a can of pumpkin leftover from Thanksgiving. It seems that my family enjoys bite-sized desserts SO, how do I convert the pie baking times and temperatures to making pumpkin tarts (mini pies)? Thank you!
I guess the word "tarts" is not accurate. I want to make miniature pumpkin pies using a muffin tin. Instead of one BIG pie, have several littles.

I thought there were several recipes on that site

A Creative person would roll out the dough and cut circles

The size of circles depends on your muffin pan

The bottom crust may be 4'' -- top 3''

Googling is fun! Here's a recipe for bite-size pies from mini-muffin tins:

DigsMagazine.com | host: recipe: MINI PUMPKIN PIES (http://www.digsmagazine.com/host/host_halloweenparty-minipumpkinpies.htm)

And here's one for normal muffin tins:

not martha (http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/tinypies)

What concerned me most was the oven temp and baking time. If you read both recipes and all the text and look at the photos, you shouldn't have any problem adjusting for your own muffin-tin pies.

I tried this and was very successful by cooking them at 425 degrees for 10 minutes and then lowering the heat to 350 for another 10 minutes.
