I read the other note on gfci, but I have a different problem. I am installing a compressor outside the house in a shed, and I want to install an outside electrical socket on my outside wall of the house. The compressor requres 240V 15 Amps. I was planning on running a large extension cord to the compressor (4 wire/10 gauge) so I don't have to fuss with code from the house to the shed -- I cannot bury. I assume the outside socket requires GFCI, but I cannot find a double pole 15 amp gfci.
I have found double pole 50 amp gfcis at Home Depot. How do I solve my problem. Do I really need to use a GFCI?
Thanks
Michael
