I met this guy on line 8 weeks ago.(we both are divorced, 48) Have talked on the phone 1-2 times per day. We talk easily with each other. Don't know a lot about each other, because see him seldom. But we seem to click. We have only seen each other 4 times and at my place. Never have gone out to eat, movie,etc. He is a cop, works long hours, besides does surviellance(side job on his own) on other days, plus hi kids have been in town and grandchild(kids in their 20's) He told me that if I didn't like his job or the fact he worked so much, shouldn't see each other. Well I understand his job, the hours, holidays with kids. But am I asking too much to just go out for an hour or stop by for an hour? It has been almost 3 weeks since I saw him. I really like him, he calls me and I just want a little time. Should I ask him if this is dating or if this is going anywhere(does he like me)? I am a patient person, but is asking to stop by or go to see him too much to ask? Or should I let go and look elsewhere?

I think I would be looking elsewhere.

Sometimes, it's not a matter of what we want, but what they will give. If he won't give what you want, then you look for it elsewhere.

Kind of sort of sounds like a married man trying to have an affair to me. Move on and in a hurry.
