Our black lab Tiko has just come back from the vet after staying overnight after his surgery... he is doing fine... a little groggy and sore but no other issues... the vet did recommend to limit his activities to on leash walking for a few days... My question is now that he is neutered will we be able to see when he is excited? Even after the hormones stop producing?. just curious... Are you asking if the red rocket will retract permanently? No, it will still come out at embarrassing times. Neutering just greatly reduces that and other behaviors. It is no cure all, but a very worthwhile procedure.

Its been 3 days since our dog has been neutered... he is showing no signs of pain or that anything is troubling him... we however see differently... it seems he has forgotten his role and his commands... is this normal?. we didn't think it was an issue the first couple days as we can only imagine what he has been through... but he does not seem to respond like he did before... what can you suggest we do?.

Just keep working him. He should get back to normal soon.
