I know everyone probably asks this but can spotting - very light lasting 2 days and light brown/orange in colour be implantation or is it likley my period will arrive.
We definitely has intercourse around ovulation and I spotted 9 days later for a day or two and since then nothing. My periods are normally very heavy and I do get spotting right before I get them but this is different.
I tested on the day I spotted using a test that was meant to be used on the day of your late period but it was negative. If this was implantation spotting would it have been positive anyway that day?

Getting a negative pregnancy test does not mean you are not pregnant. Some women get negative pregnancy test in the early stages of pregnancy.
Now if I'm correct, you haven't missed your period yet right?
9 days post ovulation would be too early to take a pregnancy test anyway, so it's not a surprise that it came up negative.
Implantation bleeding is VERY rare... but that is not to say it doesn't happen for some women.
Really all you can do is wait until when you are due for your next period. If you miss it, take a pregnancy test using your FIRST morning urine.

I was reading somewhere where it said implantation bleeding starts 8-10 days past ovulation. So you never know, you may be pregnant. However it is best to test the day of your period or once you miss it. Good luck if you're trying to become pregnant
