Simple Asian

I am sorry I am new here.. so if I do something wrong please excuse me...

Lately I have been really confused about girls... well about this girl... we have know each other for like almost 2 years now... thought school... she really great and fun to be with... it just lately she seem really into me.. like always hugs me and hold on me really tight... lol.. even kissed me when I wasn't pay attention... so I started to like her...

But about a week ago or so... she seem like on and off with me... it not like we dating or anything.. but just like whenever we see each other in school she always jump on me and stuff... but lol.. she just like on and off... it like she saw me in the hallway and just walked off.. or just like " hi " "bye"... but then later that day... she like all over me again... and it keep happening...

So my question is... " is she playing hard to get " "does she like me ?"

And like after if I know her that she play hard to get... shoud I play along with her or should I just play it cool ?

Sorry for all the question guy?. this pretty much will be my second relatiionship since when I born lol... I just been date a lot but never go on relationship b.c of all the drama jealousy and fighting... so I really confused about this...

STEVEN

Excuse for my english and stuff...

P.S : I am 18 asian and she is 17 blonde... :D

It sounds to me like she does like you and that she is playing hard to get. How about asking her out on a date?

Silent Breeze
Dec 19, 2007, 07:10 AM
It seems as though she really likes you and is trying so hard to show you that but still trying to play hard to get. I agree with Clough, you should ask her to go out on a date, the worse thing that could happen is that she'll say let's just stick to being friends, but at least then you'll know.
Goodluck!

From my experience, it sounds like she is by the way that you describe her actions in your first post here. It sounds like she wants you to "chase" her. She is teasing and flirting with you. That is one way that you tell if a girl is playing hard to get. You could also ask her about this stuff when you take her out on a date.

UnAnaray
Dec 19, 2007, 05:08 PM
I think that she likes you and she was flirting with you but if you don't show ask you will never know. The fact that she is starting to distance herself is possibly that she is trying to tell you she likes you and doesn't feel that you are receptive of this.

The fact that she is starting to distance herself is possibly that she is trying to tell you she likes you and doesn't feel that you are receptive of this.

That could very well be true. Excellent thought! Time for Simple Asian to make his move as far as going forward with the relationship.

I totally agree with UnAnaray, she is being distant to make sure and to see if you share the same feelings towards her. Its like she's playing a game, she gave you signs she likes you, now are you going to be smart enough to do something about it? Goodluck, and I recommed you make the move fast before she gives up hope!

Hello, Steven!

Whether she says "yes" or "no," at least you will know that you have tried. It takes lots of practice asking people out to get good at it. You know that you will have gained nothing if you don't ask her out. You stand the potential to gain not only her friendship but also someone with whom the potential might be for you to be together as a couple. If she does say "no," then you will just have to accept that. When I was dating, I was rejected a number of times. It also takes practice learning how to deal with rejection.

I do think that it is more likely than not, that she is going to agree to go out with you. Please let us know what happens in that regard. Thank you!

Let's try to be positive and hope she says yes. If not, try to truly show her that you don't mind, and you'd rather be friends with her than nothing at all. And don't just show her that, feel it as well; because if she really is a great person to be with, then I guess you'd be willing to spend time with her as 'just friends' than nothing at all. And as Clough said before me, it takes practice to get it right, so there's no problem if she says no, you'll learn something so in the next times you'll get a yes instead.
I truly hope everything works out all right, please let us know what happens!
Goodluck!

WEll.. pretty much today is the sucky-ish day every... as everyone saying GIrls are the most complicated and confused thing in the world.. is right... hand down...

as I with all the high hope I have I asked her out and I even before that gave her a x-mas card saying "gonna be apart this x-mas just made me reallized how much i gonna miss you and love you ".. after she read the card she was about to cry... and I ask her " there nothing i want for christmas but you so will you be my christmas ? "

and she like shock... quite for like 2 minutes X_X... then "i am sorry Steve...i see you as a brother ..the one i love so much "

BS all the way ;... why didn't I stick with just dating and have to ask for a relationship.. . ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

sorry guys for making you guys helping me and all but now I F****d everything up...

I'm sorry to hear she doesn't share the same feelings. But I hope, after some time of course, you can try to accept the fact and tell her (if you mean it and feel like it) that you'd rather be her "brother" than nothing at all. And the right girl will come along, she might even be across the corner, you never know. Don't stay in your misery too long though, stick to being friends with this girl, she seems really nice.

Feel your pain, females don't make life easy for a young guy, but don't worry, look around and see all the options you haven't tried. Don't let fear, or the actual rejection, stop you from finding what you want elsewhere.

My Christmas was fine! Spent it with my daughter who is here from California. I was supposed to have the neighborhood Christmas Party at my home the Saturday before Christmas. Had to call people on that day and cancel/postpone it because of the weather. Am planning to have the party at my home this coming weekend.

You're going to have many more prospects for relationships once you get to college and also be more likely to find someone who is really into the same things that you are because of people taking certain classes because they might be majoring in the same or similar subject.

Some of us still don't want to grow up, no matter what age we are. :) Me included! :p But, sooner rather later, it is time to learn how to take charge and deal with the responsibilities of being an adult. It's really a "war zone" out there in the "real" world when we are not under the shelter of our parent's wings!

A translator? Cool! :) That's something that you could put on a resume now and also later!

Are there any classes that you feel you do better in than others?

Yeah, I do know about the perfectionist attitudes and sometimes competitiveness of people from certain cultures that does happen. :)

Some Americans can also have perfectionist attitudes and also be competitive. Some cultures just seem to be a little more that way than others, though.

Steven, we really need to get you going in some sort of positive direction here. I do understand that your classes are hard. And, what you are taking and if you are doing well in them is going to get you off to a great start in college!

Is there any one class that might appeal to you more than the others?

In how many languages do you feel that you might be fluent?

If you are a translator and, depending on how many languages that you know and can learn, being a translator in a number of languages can maybe be a possibility for a really bright future for you as far as a career! :)

Lol... thanks a lot... it really great... but what kind of study do you have to go thought to become a translator if you have any idea by any chances ?

I am a nerd so I really into MATH and PHYSIC... but the most enjoyable thing I do in school.. is gym... everything about gym.like working out... playing sport.. running... I really enjoy doing it...

I was thinking about major in some kind of sports or a personal trainer... but whatever have to do with sports... it mean like you no... pro stuff.. and I am not really into that

And personal trainer income is not that good to supposed the family or anything.. so I didn't put a lot of thought in those things

I don't know of anyone who doesn't like to play some kind of sports type game. We all like to relax and have fun!

But for you, I don't think that you should consider going into something in sports for a career unless you just excel so much above others in it, that it would be obvious that you should consider doing such a thing.

It's obvious right now that you already excel at a number of languages. Wouldn't you agree?

Let me give the educational requirements for someone going into a career as a professional translator some thought. Okay?

Just think what a boon it would be for students who are also really good at math and physics who don't necessarily know the language in which it is being taught. You could be hired to be their translator!

Just for fun and to take a break here, would you mind typing some simple sentences in the languages that you know and also translating them, if that is possible, depending on the characters?

What do you think? I think that it would be cool! I'd like to see what you can do. Okay?

Just a thought... If you were to be a translator, just think about the people, not just men, but the women that you would be able to meet! :)

Philosophy About Life

A good part of what life is about is making choices, dealing with the cards that one has been dealt and also weighing the costs as compared to the benefits concerning the choices that we make.

I just don't think I am up to it yet... becoming an adult...

Would you tell me what to expect when you becoming an adult...

b.c I am going to turn 19 in a month and going off to college isn't making this easy

Clough
Dec 30, 2007, 02:46 AM
Thank you for being honest with me! :p

As far as being an adult with where you are in your life right now and also going to college, you are still under the "wings" of your parents. That will continue for awhile...

You need to be preparing yourself for when you do need to be making it on your own. The time now in your life is when you need to be doing that. This is your practice time. You need to be giving that serious consideration right now as well as acting on the possibility that you will need to take care of yourself in the future. You might have people to help you with things, but there may be times when you are going to have to rely on what you know and how to solve the problems that you will encounter in your life as an adult.

Both of my parents have long since died. I don't have them for any support in this world anymore.

What would you do if your parents were suddenly gone tomorrow? It's hard to imagine, isn't it? Most likely, they won't be gone tomorrow. But, you need to be preparing for the possibility that you might not have them for support. It could actually be, that you will need to be the one that is supporting them!

You are just starting in your life as an adult. I and others are more than willing to guide you how to go about leaving the "nest" and making it on your own.

Are you into the arts at all, such as art, music or drama?

Simple Asian
Dec 30, 2007, 03:01 AM
Yeah... to tell you the true... college is a place that I think going to be tought.. just like when I first came here... knowing nothing... and if you no how I feel it really hard... and rough...

I am sorry to hear about your parents...

But trust me... "the suddenly gone tomorrow"... I have been there last summer... a normal day after get back from school... seeing all my brother and dad all home at 3 afternoon ? I'm sorry that your mother now is handicapped. But, you know, it's just something that you have to deal with. Life goes on... I am sure that you will be there as best that you can for her. I hope that she is okay, now.

Thank you for being honest and sharing with me! That is what we look for on this site!

From me, "The best students are not those that just do as they have been taught, but also, continue to teach themselves based upon the way that they have been shown to teach themselves." "A teacher is someone who ignites the spark for someone to teach themselves."

All of our lives, we learn. A big part of what any schooling is about, is to teach us how to learn. We are never through. I'm going to repeat that, "We are never through." I learned that from my seventh grade English teacher. It is the only thing that I remember him saying. But, it has stuck with me through the years. What it means is that we are never through learning.

Are you into the arts at all, such as art, music or drama?

How many brothers and/or sisters do you have?

It's a good idea to read through the replies first that have already been posted on a thread before posting a response yourself.

If you had done that, you would have known that he has already asked her out. It's okay though. It takes awhile to get used to how to use this site.

It's okay. I was just trying to find out some of the other interests that you might have.

Wow! Four brothers and one sister? Big family! What are there ages, please? I have one brother who is seven years older than me. I had a sister who I never knew who would have been the oldest of my siblings. She only lived for twenty-four hours.

Thanks for the answer!

So, your parents had you when they were in their 40's. So did mine. If my parents were living now, they would be in their 90's!

I am glad that you find your family to be fun and enjoyable! That is not always the case with many families.

Is there one of your brothers whom you might look up to more than the others? I mean, is there one of them that you might want to be like?

It's definitely okay not to be interested in or liking the same type of business your family might be doing. Does anyone in your family hold it against you because you might not be interested in the same things that the rest of your family is?

No not really... you have to take time and practices... to learn anything...

But if you willing to learn it.. then there nothing that hard...

Clough
Dec 31, 2007, 01:42 AM
That's true! If someone is willing to spend the time to learn something, then they can do it! For some people, it may be harder to learn how to do one thing than another thing. But, basically, we can all learn how to do the same things. It's just that some of us might have a predisposition (ability, talent) to learn some things more easily and better than other things.

Uhm... problem... Clough...

I just recently find out how nice guy can't get girls in a hard way.. lol.. well not like get rejected again hard way.. but reading it on the internet... and it made me feel stupid for being a nice guy for so long lol..

But anyway back to the problem...

As far as I no.. can't be nice guy,, but you can be a good guy... it just the same as a nice guys.. but without being so insercure... and putting the girls on top of everything like "oh you are the source of my happiness" " oh i can't lose you i am gonna die "

So that means I have to be a nice guy but don't be too nice... treat pplz nice and everything.. always be there for them but not every time... just the right time .

.and listen to what they say..,. but you are the man to give comand don't ever tell her what she want.. you the one making the choise... and don't treat her like queens.. treat her like other pplz..

Still care about her but not over caring.. still love her but not over loving... still be there for her but not all the time .you have life too... go do your things... and never call her too much and saying like I so love you miss you and I want to see you.. give her space .let her miss you and let her say it

But one thing I want to no is... should I be you no be there too care and listen and show my nice guy site to everyone... you no... to the girls.. that I might like later on.. or just some girls... just girls.. so that the girls won't being like oh he is a nice guy... but still want to date me ?

Sorry for such long story.. just need to be out

Hello, Steven!

I am here right now. Just checking some things and making sure that the areas that I moderate on this site are okay for now. But, I don't know that I am good for very much since it is very late where I am right now. (4:17 A.M.) Sorry that I wasn't on last night when I said I would be. Had a major snow storm here. Had things to deal with concerning that.

Am currently getting ready for a party at my home on this Friday for neighbors and friends. If you were around here, I would invite you! Had to cancel the one right before Christmas because of the weather.

Actually, you can get girls being a nice guy. You just have to shop around. Sorry to put it that way. But, it's true!

I am glad that your mom is doing great! That is definitely good news! I do hope that they are successful in finding someone who can heal her for good! :)

Concerning girlfriends, sure it's normal to want your girlfriend back, especially if you really cared about her when you were together. I have had lots of girlfriends in my life. For one reason or another, things just didn't work out for us to be together. Would I want to be together with some of them now? You bet I would! However, it might not be the best choice on my part if I were to get together with one of them again in a close relationship because of various reasons.

However, people do tend to change in a lot of ways over time. Maybe things would work out for me with some of them. Don't really know... I just try to move forward and do the best that I can with the people that I have in my life right now.
