I hope this is not a stupid post... with the obvious answer of work hard toward your goals, and success will come to you... I feel that I do work very hard, but have changed my goals numerous times because of setbacks which make it seem that continuing with the same goal would only amount to beating a dead horse. I end up getting to a certain point with each goal, with a major time and financial commitment, before it seems to go bad...

Does anyone besides me ever feel like they sometimes have a target on to attract a lot of negative things in their life...

Things that I have in mind are people who cheat you, lay you off from jobs, don't hire you even though you are qualified, take advantage of you without regard to your feelings or well being... and just doing things to you which you would never do to others... and that you can't seem to catch a break from it?

When other people seem to have the Midas touch with people knocking on their door to offer money and great things?

If you've been there, and gotten past it, please comment on what you did to change things. Do I just need to toughen up, deal with crappy situations, and stay with the same goal? When it gets to a certain point in the past, I have felt sick of trying anymore, and like I can't go on.

I don't want this pattern to continue but am afraid it will.

Thanks for your comment. I'm not giving up, but trying to gain insights. It's good to know that I'm not alone.

Two friends 22, one child each both get good jobs. One losses her job (no fault of hers)
And it is never replaced at any where near the money. The women with the good job
Keeps doing better and better. She has a healthy son
That does not go to college, but gets and good job and buys his own home.
The women that lost the best paying job, has a hard working daughter that goes to college , on grants and loans, which she now owes over $80,000.00 and pays on every
Month. She gets an illness that attacks her owns system which causes her spin to decay and has several surgeries, several tumors and surgery to remove them, medication at some points above $1,600.00 per month. She can not work and has to live with her mom.
Both of the women buy rental houses with the equity in there homes, both hoping to pay off a home to live in when old. The one women wants to travel the other just wants to
Help her daughter and go to the grocery store with out crying.
The one with the good job and rental property is very very well off and travels the world
Loves life and is happy.

The one with the sick daughter is being foreclosed on and she and her daughter are homeless depressed and scared. GO FIGURE! SOMETIMES IT IS JUST THE LUCK OF THE DRAW. STAY STRONG

I thank you for that. Makes me reallize that there really may not be a reason or something that brings it on... just what is and you deal and go on.

Hello one:

Personally, I've never had any trouble... Ok, maybe a little... But, I've never given up.

Have I reached my goals?? Once I did. Then I looked around and found out it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Frankly, I got bored just sitting there with ALL my goals attained... So, I moved 'em.

What I found out was reaching goals wasn't fun. TRYING to reach 'em was great.
