Hampton Bay Berlini with a remote. Clicks when in Summer direction but not in Winter Direction. Installed in August but haven't used it. I think we tested it in both directions but I don't really remember. I just started using it and discovered the problem.

I called customer service and they told me it could be the blades with a screw loose. This is before I discovered it only clicks when going in one direction.

It also clicks when you turn it on but maybe this is normal??

Called again and they told me they didn't know what was causing it and I would have to call Hampton Bay ( not the number in the instruction manual) and get it replaced.

I can't install a ceiling fan. So has anyone got Home Depot to replace the fan WITH installation. They didn't install this one.

I am hoping there is some other fix for this.

I manually rotated the blades and it made no sound.

Check to be sure all screws are tight. Check the path of all spinning parts to make sure they're not contacting anything.

If you can't install a fan, chances are you also won't be able to locate an fix the clicking sound.

Does the fan shake at all? Is there a pullchain or anything knocking against glass? It might just need to be balanced.

Especially the ceiling huggers, have seen wire hang down and touch motor assembly to create a clicking. Verify wires not touching motor as it spins.
