Hi, I'm Zack. I have a 8 year old female Persian cat. For the past few months, I noticed that she was not eating well and never been active. As I further noticed that she was losing weight, I changed her food (dry food) to canned wet food (fish and shrimps). At the same time, I have administered her with worm tablets as well. She now eats very well and finishes her meal totally. Its almost 2 weeks already since I started to feed her with the ocean food. Although such, she is still skinny wherefore I can feel her bones. I am worried of her and I really need your humble advise please.

Thanks with regards,

Zack

You really need to take her to the vet and have him do a check up on her. Let him know how long she has been losing weight and how much you think she has lost. She may be having health problems that do not realate to whether she likes a food or not.

Could be a thyroid issue, but you will only find out with a blood workup from your vet.

Hi Zack, Take her to the vet. My cat had the type things happen. She was diagnosed with diabetes. I put her on a special diet food and medication(which is made for humans and is very inexpensive, Wal-Mart 4 dollars) She gained her weight back almost immediately. My cat was much older. She was 16 years old when I put her on it. She did really well.
