Hello all,

Until November I have made an internship in the US (South Carolina) with a J1 visa. In December I have changed to an E-2 working visa.
Which documents do I need to fill out for taxes?

Thanks a lot!

If you are single, you will file as a non-resident alien, filing Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ.

If you are married, you have the option of waiting until late June 2008 and file as a resident alien with your spouse, filing Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ. It is a long wait, but you can get a significant tax advantage by filing jointly with your spouse, especlially if he/she has NO income.
