Hello, How tight is the alternator belt, by rule of thumb, if you can spin the alternator pulley using your finger pulling on the alt fan blade behind the pulley, if there is no fan blade behind the pulley use a socket on the alternator shaft bolt and with light pressure turn the alt shaft, the belt should not slip, if it does, the alternator will not charge to capacity. The alternator belt should be kept tight, they do become loose over a period and need to be retightened. Also look and see if there are any cracks on the inside of the belt, if so replace, it is worn. Thanks

You should check to se if the wire from the alternator to the battery is broken. With the key off, take a test light or dmm and check for voltage between the battery negative and the alternator pos. If no voltage is found, you can repair the wire or just run a new one.
