When the blower starts up it seems to have a hard time getting started. (makes a noise like: wa... wa... wa.. wa) and then runs normally. Doesn't do this every time but maybe one out of four starts. Is motor going or some other reason? Thanks

Yes, that's typical of a motor going bad... or a too tight belt... but if you haven't had any work done on it recently, it's probably not the latter.
Some motors have an oiler hole where you can drip a couple drops of a fine oil. They're sometimes hard to spot, so check your owner manual for where it is... and if it has one.

It could be the capcitor going bad. A capacitor is cheap and easy to change yourself, its worth a shot.

Yeah, I was thinking of suggesting the capacitor too. It will be a at least partly round metal can with 2 wires running to it from the motor. May say something on it like UF, micro farads, etc. Take it to an electrical shop and let them match it up. If it progress to where the motor just sets there and hums, most likely it is the capacitor.
Does everything spin easily? If so, oil likely won't help. Still, a little light oil in the oil cups won't hurt.
