Have you run any diagnostics on the printer? Also, remove the print cartridge and run a lint free damp cloth over the nozzles. They may just be clogged.

When was the last time you changed the black cartridge.

Start an application like Paint, draw a box on the screen and fill the box with black. What does your printer put on the page, nothing or various shades of color?

Also make sure that under the properties of the printer, you have selected "Color."
