I have a 58SXC080-GG carrier lp furnace. I have replaced the flame sensor but the gas valve turns off inttermittenly. There is still 24 volts on the valve when the gas shuts off. Is the valve bad? The white rogers part my supplier is selling me is 36e93-304. This has a 5 wire connection and mine is a 3 wire connection. What is the correct part #.

Here is the information on the gas valve bought.

Find your valve on this page

http://www.white-rodgers.com/wrdhom/pdfs/06_Cat_pages/Cat_06_pg0062.pdf

Then look at the wiring diagram number on this page.

http://www.white-rodgers.com/wrdhom/pdfs/06_Cat_pages/Cat_06_pg0254.pdf

Number two wiring diagram is a 3 wire setup and it does match the new valve you got.

Now you have to remember the OEM valve is no longer available for your furnace and the part numbers have been changed as well as the possibility of a wiring change also.

NOW READ THIS CAREFULLY. The valve you bought is for natural gas only and unless there is a conversion kit available it will not work on your propane funace. There is no natural gas kit listed for the valve you bought I just thought I would look that up for you.

So return the valve from wence it came and get the correct valve that is setup for propane. BTW Propane is not as forgiving as natural gas so please be careful because propane can and does create a big boom if not connected correctly.
