How do you check and clean inlet ports?

I assume you're referring to a one handled faucet. Shut the water off and open up the faucet and pull the cartridge. The inlet ports are those small holes at the base of the cartridge. To tell you more we will need the brand, age and function of the faucet. Regards, Tom
