I was wondering if anyone could help with my 2.5 kw diesel generator
I started it up and it run it all day no problems then it cut the engine out and I tried starting it again and I would not start so I switched the 240v switch to 110v switch and then it started and run fine but when I switched it over to 240v and it cut the engine out again ,I went to start it the next day and the engine fired up but there is no electric coming off it at all ,no output

Hi. Does your generator sound as if the revs are increasing when you switch it over to 240 volts. If so the problem will be a short in the windings of the alternator.
