- Alcoholic beverages
- Chocolate
- Coffee
- Grapes & raisins
- Moldy or spoiled food
- Onions, garlic & chives
- Poultry bones
- Salt & salty foods
- Tomato leaves, stems & unripe fruit
- Yeast dough
There is much more, but this is the only list I have. I don't even know how safe it is to be feeding it raw meat. You need to do some research on feeding rather than to just randomly start feeding it raw meat.

Did you ask your Veterinarian what to feed your dog? Ask that professional if feeding your dog raw meat is acceptable. I know I would not do it to my dog, unless it were part of some regime her doctor prescribed for her.

Aside from a few treats, there is no reason to feed anything except the puppy chow. Dog chows are carefully formulated to provide everything dogs need and in the right balance. Adding raw meat or anything else just throws the careful balance off. The one exception is that puppy chows promote maximum growth. In larger breeds, it is a good practice to make an early switch to adult chow to slow growth and allow the joints more time to develop before bearing the full adult weight. For the same reason, it is very important to keep a growing puppy lean. With Dachshunds back problems I would suggest being careful to keep it lean. I do not have the extensive experience with Dachshunds that I have with Labs and other large breeds. It seems logical that they too would benefit from the early switch to adult chow too. For a guide to keeping your Dachshund lean, see LongLiveYourDog.com - Life Span Study - Rate Your Dog (http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx)

Yours may be the exception, but few vets would suggest raw meat.
