In 01/06 my plumber installed a Select State water heater in my garage. On 09/07 I had no hot water. The same plumber came out and "rebuilt" the water heating and said it most likely was struck by lightenting. We had no lighteneing! On 12/10 I again had no hot water, therefore, called the plumber. He said the problem was electrical and told me to get an electrician. The electrician checked it out and didn't know what the problem was.

I think I would find me a new plumber.

The electrican says he found no problem, so that means you have hot water right? If the electrican found power reaching the elements and the elements are good the water must be hot. What did he find when he did the inspection?

Ya got "took" by the plumber. You don't have to rebuild a new water heater and if you had been struck by lightning it would have affected more appliances the just the water heater. Frankly speaking, your plumber is a liar and a crook.

The electrician checked it out and didn't know what the problem was And he don't sound like the sharpest pencil in the box either. You should have power from a 30 amp breaker to your water heater. It doesn' take a master electrician to figure that out. Where do you get these people from? The local day labor pool? Get some competent licensed help in there that knows what their doing. Taking out the old heater and Installing a new water heater is a simple 2 hour job. Yours turned into a nightmare of incompetence. I hate it when someone in my trade gives the super poor performance that you've received. For all the good plumbers out there I apologize. Let me know what happens. Tom
