I am 16 years old and have not had my period for 2 years could something be wrong? I will not go to the doctor because I really don't want to. Just wanted to know if this is normal for my age or not. The Last time I got it was when I was 14. If anyone could answer this that would be great.
Thanks

Any time there is a gap in menstrual cycles, it should prompt a visit to the doctor. Not to worry though... at your age, there are a lot of hormones working to accomplish a lot of tasks with your body.. so spotty periods are nothing to be worried over. Do you excersize aggressively or diet to the extreme? Do you have diabetes?

This can also have an effect. First and foremost, see a doctor. While you wait for your appointment, try to relax and realize that our bodies have a pretty good idea how to get through puberty... not any ounce of worry will help it at all. But DO see your doctor... whether you want to or not. NONE of us ENJOYS going to the doctor dear... it's just a fact of life. Maybe he/she has some good suggestions on what may be causing your lack of menses. Certainly, getting advice about it here is not going to be in your best interest... even if all of us were doctors, none of us could help you online! Just go and get it done with. You're a big girl now! I wish you the best.
