 My husband and I decided to try to have a baby a few months ago, after a few months went by and we still hadn't conceived I was talking with a girlfriend about it a she brough up a concern. My periods only last about 24-30 hr. I thought that this was no big deal because I was regular. I have a doctors appointment in 2 weeks but I can't stop thinking about this and I have not been able to find much information about it online or from anywhere else. Does anyone have any idea if the length of my periods affect fertility??

The length of you actual bleeding time really doesn't effect your fertility.

It would be the length of your cycle that would effect it, if anything.

Macksmom is right. The length of menstration itself does not indicate fertility. The rest of your cycle is more telling.

Have you heard of charting? I read the book, "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler and really learned a lot about how to recognize signs.
