I would like to know how I can go about collecting on a small claims case that was a win for me. She agreed to pay me when she got her taxes in march of 2007 but never did. It is a signed statement by her to pay said judgement and I would like to garnish her taxes this year and I have no idea how to do that. I need to collect that money as soon as possible as it is also affecting my credit. It was a case where she signed a lease for 18 months and bailed out with only 1 hour notice after 5 months leaving me with the remainder of the lease and a major debt with the realty company. I sued her in October of 2006.

Hello alegna:

You can't attach her taxes. You CAN garnish her wages and attach her bank accounts, though.

Take your judgment to the court constable. You can hire him to execute your judgment and get your money. Be sure to tell him where her accounts are located. You can look on the back of your check and see where it was deposited.
