Hello People, I have a 1997, 46" deck, Hydrostatic lawn tractor. The relief valve worked fine for a few years, then just stopped working. This valve when activated will allow the tractor to be moved with the engine off ! I have followed the relief lever to the linkage back to the point of origin, noting that all connections are functional with no binding. I suspect that the problem may be internally within the hydrostatic trans. Unit; if so, can it be fixed ? All feedback, ideas and information are welcome to help resolve this mystery. Thank-you, All for your input in solving this problem. Jim Norris

I have no idea how to fix it I am not there. I am sure a manual is available for your tractor or a local repair shop will be of help to you.

Hi mowerman, don't take it personally, as a draftsman we print our blueprints in "CAPS". Therefore, your insenuations are un-acceptable. Who are you to "JUDGE"? On a second note, my priorty would be to have you answer my question if that's possible ! I have already asked you a question and am waiting for your answer. " HAVE A NICE DAY ". Thanks, jim
