My wife left me because she said I drank too much, but she would let me drink if she wanted to. She even left me once because I would drink a few beers after work,she went back home to MI, she called me and said that she had made a mistake , and I needed to come and get her. She had no money to come back, her family drinks, and it was OK if I drank with them but not if I wanted too. A year later while camping out of the blue she said If you want to go and get some beer, that's OK with me. I did and the next day she goes off on me . I don't think I have a drinking problem, but her dad did drink himself to death. Am I TO BLAME??

Since booze appears to be a problem in her family, my suggestion would be to quit totally. Convince her that both of you should no longer drink. And if possible join a support group or get counselling.

If you know it bothers her, don't drink without her. I don't know ifyou have a drinking poblem, that's something you need to decide for yorself.


Personally, I think drinking is really stupid. I've lost people I love to drinking and to solve all your problems, it'd be easiest to just not drink.

No your not to blame. But she might and worried that it will happen to you. She's showing concern the only way she knows how to.
I was like that with my boyfriend but came to relieze everything was OK and we got passed it. She has to come to a conclution on her own
