This question relates to a probation violation situation- I have a friend that violated his probation on technical term (forgot to check in w/ the P.O.) The P.O. put out a bench warrant out for his arrest. My friend is turning himself in- My question lies in- what is the usually jail term period for a violation of probation in FL? I believe 90 days but not 100% sure- Also, if this individual obtains a lawyer to fight the technical violation and probation violation, is it possible that my friend won't due a jail violation term ? Also, does anyone know what it means by your current status of probation being "suspensed"? I have no clue what this means he does have a bench warrant out for his arrest, could this mean that the state put his probation of suspense?
Thank you

Often less than 90 days, all depends on the judge that day and how bad the po wants to be to him. Suspended means that he has a warrant on him and that the judge will decide at the hearing what to do. The judge can revolk his probation all together and send him to prison to do his time on the orgainal charge. This seldom happens but is possible, normally they make them serve a short time and puts back on probation
