My 15 year old will need to start shaving for the first time. I want to, know, if using an electric shaver will be better than a razor. His dad uses a shaver, but has the so called 5 o'clock shadow. Does the electric shaver hurt when used for the first time?

It depends on what one you use. From what my husband says they can be kind of rough on the skin. Try one that vibrates they work well.

Wash Face With Soap And Hot Water , Dont Dry , Apply A Skin Sensitive Shaving Cream ,wait One Minute And Use A Triple Edge Razor, Not A Disposible Or Electric. Electric Carry Bacteria Not Good For Teen Face. Rinse Face Ice Cold Water Only.
Excellent advice. I use an electric now, because it's faster and I don't need shaving cream, but a triple edge always gives me a closer shave, and feels a lot better on my skin.

I don't know man, I use a Panasonic ES4026 and my first shave was awful. I started bleeding in between, I figured because I'm a rookie and it was my first time using one. Try it yourself, mine I'll try next week to see how it goes again. Do you know why I was bleeding? By the way, I was wet shaving with a Panasonic foil shaver.

Also, not to be rude or anything. If you're 15, use a razor blade instead man, electric foil and rotary blades won't show good results. As it did for me.
