I have a Smith (cast iron boilers) oil furnace. Several of the parts are labeled Honeywell. I hadn't used it this year yet because of finances, then once I was able to get oil delivered I had to wait as there was water in cellar. Finally the oil supplier came and said the boiler and chimney base were clogged, but wouldn't clean it because they claiimed the mud in the cellar was sewage. So now I have cleaned the cellar but wished to just do it myself. I cleaned the chimney base fairly well I believe and the boiler itself somewhat. I have bleeded the line and when I hit the reset button it fires and runs for about 10 seconds... what should my next step be ? I am so cold I could scream.

By the way, I know it will need to be cleaned professionally eventually, but my family really needs heat/ hot water until we can afford/get an appointment. Is there any way I can get this thing running even temporarily ?

You need to check to to see if your high voltage transformer is working as if you bled all the air out I am assuming that you are getting fuel the next step is to check for ignition if you have no spark or its weak it won't light
