My Boyfriend was sentenced to a year in a program... I was wondering if it's true that he only has to do 8 months if he stays on good behavior?? ( In the state of Florida )

In the 80's into the 90's almost everyone was getting a third of their sentence knocked off because of jail over crowding. I don't believe that is still true.

Early release would hinge on many factors like:
- Age
- Offence
- Jail overcrowding
