I am an insurance agent. We provide coverage for ALL dogs under the liability part of our policies. However, my client's dog has been named "Dangerous" as she charged a police officer. The city is now requiring my client to provide proof of insurance specifically for this dog. They will not accept our policy as proof it has to be a certificate of insurance naming the dog not the individuals. If this is not recd today the dog will be killed. Please help me if you know how I can help my client save her dog!!

Let the dog run away until this issue is settled, dogs get away everyday. I have no insurance problem solving skills but I can give you a number for a rescue that may take it in for a bit or it could live there indefinitely with visits from the owner. I will pm the number if you like.

Hmm, don't worry about it, the dog is named dangerous, the pit bulls are dangerous and should be handled accordingly. If I had been the officer chances are if the dog charged at me it would already be dead. Rephrase that, the dog would have been dead by now.

You call the underwriting department and have them write a letter that their policy specificly covers pit bulls. Or if you want to be personally liable, why not you write the letter on your commpany letterhead that your policy does specificly cover the pit bull.
Why not name the company that covers them, you may get a lot of people calling, since to my knowledge almost every company ( actually every company that I know of) has an amendment to the policies that specificly exclude any of the aggressive breeds.
And next, I am surprised an animal that charged a police officer is still alive, around here they would have been put down with no questions asked.

You guys are rude and obviously pieces of S***! She is trying to get help, not receive stupid comments from dumb rednecks. People like you guys are the reason these lovely dogs have a bad name. Go shove your d*cks in a horses *** and get over it. missd2u4524 Good luck with this situation and I hope it works out and hope your client gets to keep her dog.

Really though? Is that how you feel? You and the one that shot my dog the other day...
Let me tell you people about your so called law enforcement... they are out of control, they think they can play god...
My dog was in my my fenced yard and I was out front they went into my yard and shot my dog she was not being aggressive or barking even...
They I get all these fines and criminal charges... then the deal is I get mostly off the charges if I shut up.. ( not happening) and for talking I am going to prison for two years because yer type murdered my family member...
And on a more real level who are you to judge anyone... really?
Read the book forget everything you where ever taught.. forget all church and state told you and read the book... then maybe you'll figure it out...
