Well, to start. Im 13, living in Michigan. I live with a abusive stepfather, who abuses my mother, but she does nothing about it! We live in a trailer park, and he is litteraly ruining the house, he smashes doors in, walls, windows. Smashes objects, hits my mother, sometimes, when he's intoxicated enough, he grabs my hair and or pushes me down. I live with two other sisters, 9 and 11, they are both traumatized by all that is going on around here. I've tried to live with it, but I can no longer deal with it. My dad, lives in Michigan as well, and he is MUCH more suitable to raise us. Problem is, my mother won't let me go up to the front of the court and ask to be in the custody of my dad. Quite frankly, I'm beginning to hate my mom and step-dad, for 1. Putting me threw all this at a young age, and 2. for running my sisters childhood. I try to make things work, but I'm threw, and I want to move out. Please help, and try to awnser with as much detail as possible, please.

Can you, next time your step=father starts in on your mom and you and your sisters, call the police. There needs to be an intervention. Least they can do is haul him away for the night. Hopefully your mother will press charges, but she may not do that. She sounds as sick as he is. I can understand that maybe she tolerates this because she is afraid of him. ALL the more reason to get him out of the home.

When you go to school can you talk to a school counselor or your school nurse? What you say to them is confidential and they might be able to offer some help. Can you call your Dad and explain what is going on? He needs to know. He can go back into court and fight for custody.

Yes, the most important thing is to talk to adults in authority. School teachers, anybody that will listen. Someone will realize that you are in a dangerous situation and get you help.

If you speak to a school counselor or teacher, help will come.
