We are 6 people renting month to month. One of us never does any household chores. How can we evict him? We asked him to do his chores and he will not.

If he pays his share of the rent and his share of the bills, you can't legally evict him.

I say you just take the mess he leaves laying around and dump it into his room, he'll get the picture.

If all 6 are on the lease and all 6 pay rent you have no contract breach to base an eviction. That would take 30+ days to evict anyway and you are only renting month to month. Tell him one month in advance when the next renewal comes due you 5 are renewing the lease without him and he should have his things removed within one month.

Five of you could rent month to month somewhere else.
